Mixed Berry Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen berries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups French Baguette dried and cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Beat together half and half, cream and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Add vanilla, and lemon zest. Place berries in a bowl. Add sugar and cinnamon. Fold bread into custard mixture. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Fold in berries. Pour into a greased 2-quart baking dish. Bake for 60 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Let cool slightly before serving.
