Happy 1st day of October, ya’ all!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE fall?
Oh I do…I REALLY do!
Cooler temps, cozy blankets, warm fires, long drives to see
the leaves change color, pumpkins, hot cocoa.
I mean-what’s not to love?

Normally, I have our front porch decorated for fall before it technically
even IS fall-but not so this year!
This year we took on the HUGE project of painting the exterior of our house, garage,
potting shed and deck!
It just didn’t make sense to ‘pretty’ up the porch-only to have to take
everything down when we needed to paint near or around it.
But, since we just have a bit of trim to do on the upper half of our home, this girl couldn’t wait another minute
to grab some pumpkins and mums at the local farmer’s market
and start decorating the porch!
Although I’m more of a neutral gal when it comes to decorating
for fall on the inside of our house-not so for the outside!
I want COLOR! LOTS and LOTS of color!
Throw in some rusty treasures, bright-cheerful mums, a warm throw-and a few pumpkins….
And this girl is doing the happy dance!
In fact- I was so thrilled to have our porch all spruced up for fall-that after taking some
photo’s- I whipped
up a cup of homemade hot cocoa-and some pumpkins spice cookies-and
came out to enjoy it this morning!

I’ll be sharing the recipes for these YUMMY treats in another post-along
with the full transformation of the exterior of our house!
But for now-I’m just going to spend a few more minutes out on the porch-enjoying
the GORGEOUS weather the Good Lord has provided us with today!
