I’ll admit.  Ever since our kiddos grew up and flew the coop I  haven’t gotten into Halloween as much as I once did.
Nope.  There are no spooky goblins and ghosts here at our house. 
Or even black spiders and terrifying jack o’ lantern faces.
And honestly, I can’t even remember the last time  I dressed up in a costume!

 But there is one thing that hasn’t changed since those days long past

We always have LOTS and LOTS of SWEET TREATS this time of year!
For the neighborhood kids that come calling-I’ve bagged up a whole bunch of yummy candy.  
And for hubby and I? 
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars!
And did I say they were no bake?
Yes, Please!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 4 tbls peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Combine the butter, graham cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter in a large mixing bowl until well blended. Press evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Meanwhile, put chocolate chips and peanut butter into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 10-second increments until melted. Stir until smooth.  Pour chocolate mixture over crust. Chill for at least 3 hours.
